RI Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium
Friday, July 31th, 2026
University of Rhode Island, Kingston Campus
RI SuRS provides students from around the state with the opportunity to present their summer research findings to the larger scientific community. More than 140 posters will be presented and the symposium is expected to draw an estimated 400 faculty, students, and administrators from Rhode Island colleges and universities.
Registration and abstracts are due Friday, July 24th at 5:00PM via this webpage.
IT Community Engagement Workshops
Melva Treviño Peña and Omisha Manglani are running community listening session designed to better understand local experiences, concerns, and priorities related to plastic pollution and environmental quality. Through dialogue, reflection, and collaborative discussion, participants will help shape future community-engaged research and funding opportunities that respond to locally identified needs and interests.
Upcoming dates for June and July 2026, please contact Kayla Poole for interest in attending a workshop to provide feedback to SIMCoast.
